OCG’s second well; 3A, was drilled to a total depth of 405 m, in basement rocks. The expected reservoirs were encountered slightly deeper than prognosed, and analyses of logs and open-hole tests show that the reservoirs did not contain hydrocarbons in any quantities. The rig used for drilling of 3A has now been moved to the location of well 1A for further testing of the gas discovery made in that well
Gas discovery on well 1A: casing has been set and cemented. AOGC’s URB rig is now on location for testing and evaluation of this important discovery
The 60/80 rig has now been moved to the next deep prospect; 11A. This is an exploration prospect, which also may contain a reef structure. This is the most difficult time in Russia with respect to the mobilization and transportation of equipment, due to the spring thaw, however, in spite of this the company has been able to move the rigs using special swamp bulldozers and sleds
The application for a production license on the MS-license, based on the recent gas discover, has been initiated and is proceeding according to plan.
