The unique technique used by Ecoteq to produce remediation energy is called Clean Oil Sands Extraction Technology (COSET). The adaptable method produces high-quality oil and pure sand from deposits that are both water- and oil-wet.
Also, compared to earlier production techniques, COSET offers significant environmental benefits. Oil sands production is now possible because to technology that eliminates the need for water during the extraction process. As a result, neither tailings ponds nor wastewater are produced. In a closed-loop system, the solvents used in the extraction process are collected, recycled, and utilised in excess of 95%, with only about 5% remaining in the extracted oil.
Although COSET is now employed for oil sands production, the technology is adaptable enough to clean up a range of natural resources.
