A stabilised flowrate has been established from the gasbearing reservoir on well 1A: 2,100,000 million cubic feet of gas per day (377 o.e. per day) . Measured flowing bottom hole pressure was 60 atm, and the pressure drop during flow was less than 10%, which is considered very good. In this test only a 9mm choke was used. A larger choke would most probably have resulted in a higher rate. No liquid or condensate rates could be established as no separator was available. This interesting zone is 21m and ranges from 660-681 meters depth.

This is a very good test rate, indicating a structure of high integrity and with a good caprock, as well as better than expected reservoir properties. Since the well was drilled on the assumed crest of the structure, the company wants to evaluate the possibility of finding an oil leg below the gas cap. Both further drilling and 3D seismic may be employed on this relatively large; 12 sq.kms structure, to establish its potential.
