Jørn Barkenæs is from today Aladdin Oil & Gas Company ASA’s new CFO. Mr. Barkenæs has long experience from Norwegian companies with activities in Russia.

Mr. Barkenæs holds a Siviløkonom degree from the Norwegian school of management (BI) and an executive MBA in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).

Mr. Barkenæs was CFO of Ocean Trawlers AS, a trading company of Russian whitefish, from 1997 to 2004, a period characterised by strong organic growth and profitability. The company owned and managed fishing vessels on purchase/lease contracts with Russian ship owners.

From 2004 to 2007 Mr. Barkenæs was CEO of Marine Projects & Management AS, a consultancy within corporate finance, ship management and ship transactions. The clients primarily being Russian ship owners. Since 2007 he was financial controller in Sponfish ASA, a codfarmer.
